TITLE:
Course Registration Assistant


POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a full-time, permanent Course Registration Assistant who will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Course Registration and Student Records units within the Office of the Registrar.

In addition to clerical responsibilities, the Admissions Office Assistant also provides some student-facing assistance to student at the Registration and Enrolment Services counter.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of a High School Diploma
  • One year of postsecondary study, administrative training, or clerical work experience is preferred
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, experience communicating with nonnative English speakers is preferred
  • Capacity to provide accurate assistance, information, and instructions to students and staff in a helpful, friendly, and professional manner

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Correspond with students regarding their course registration status, timetable, etc.
  • Assist students to complete required forms
  • Verify student eligibility for courses and programs
  • Perform daily sorting, filing, scanning, of student file documents
  • Perform daily archiving of inactive student records
  • Verify and authenticate documentation submitted by students
  • Produce instruction guides, handouts, posters, and other materials
  • Lead information workshops for students
