Summary:

The role is focused on working directly with Strategic Customers as a key member of their Turnaround teams to optimize valve scopes, reduce customer costs & support long term improvement initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities:

Drive efficiencies, cost reductions, and longterm improvements in the Customer's Turnaround Processes
Build detailed repair scopes and preliminary schedule using Customer equipment strategy as a guide
Collect, organize and document key data required for turnaround execution
Develop an outage diagnostics program leveraging smart positioners to track valve health and performance.
Work with the Planning Team to assist with preTurnaround scheduling and logistics planning (criticality/priority review, offsite vendor repair logistics, ordering of required goods)
Act as Single Point of Contact (logistics and technical) for onsite/offsite vendor repair facilities working directly with the Turnaround and Engineering teams through to turnaround completion
Review outage diagnostics results and advise the Customer regarding path forward
Repair documentation collection and quality control
Post Outage Reporting
Turnaround results including remaining challenges or concerns and lessons learned
Recommendations for future turnarounds
Recommendations for asset strategy adjustment
Efficiencies found through the Optimization Program (QBR's)

Qualifications and Skills:

Engineering Degree, Instrumentation Technologist Diploma or Instrumentation Journeyman designation from an accredited institution
3+ Years industry experience in an operating process facility
Experience sizing & specifying industrial control & isolation valves is an asset
Experience working with Emerson devices and AMS Device Manager/Valvelink software is an asset
Experience in a Turnaround, Maintenance or Reliability Specialist role is an asset
Proven Customer service skills
Effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Highly motivated and innovative
Ability to work in team environment
Entrepreneurial work ethic
This role requires flexibility and the ability to travel and/or commute to customer sites
