As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with various accounting tasks specific to the trucking industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining financial records, including accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and process invoices, bills, and expense reports.
• Monitor and track accounts payable and receivable, follow up on outstanding balances, and assist with collections.
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes.
• Generate financial reports and assist with monthend and yearend closing activities.
• Support the senior bookkeeper and accounting team with adhoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or diploma in accounting is a plus.
• Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in the trucking industry.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office/ G suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

Experience:

• Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
• Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
