Shipping/Receiving Experience is required for this position
This is a permanent Full-Time position.


Responsibilities:

To ensure that product is handled and kept in compliance with all internal policies, GMP and local and Federal Food Regulations (CFIA / HACCP)

Record all receiving paperwork on Inbound QC Controlled log

  • Maintain receiving door to ensure all pack slips are received and items are properly distributed.
  • Do random Bin checks.
  • Making sure the proper and systematic handling of all inventories in the warehouse
  • Assigning tags and labels for all raw merchandise must be in compliance with BRC
  • Making note of damaged, lost or missing goods.
  • Updating Inventory cycle count
  • Monitoring inventory turnover rate, ensure discontinued items are removed.
  • Ensuring inventory lists are updated daily
  • Ensure FIFO is being followed
  • Ensure areas are free of debris and in an orderly fashion
  • Assist in Month end inventory count
  • Bring product in from the production floor at a steady pace to keep their work area clean and clear of finished product.
  • Assist in bringing product out to the production floor for further processing.
  • Making sure that ALL pallets/totes are properly identified (tagged) with product name, production date, quantity and customer if applicable.
  • Load trailers as needed.
  • Ensure Allergens are followed
  • Keep track of product type, quantities and position on trailer load sheet and proper trailers.
  • Back up to Shipping and receiving
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  • Ensure all Expired products are brought to the attention of QC

Requirements:

*Applicants must legally entitled to work in Canada*- Must be at least 19 years of age.

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Power jack operators certificate is an asset.
  • Ability to do power equipment "pretrip".
  • Have good mathematic skills.
  • Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with customers, employees and Supervisors.
  • High level of manual dexterity required for operating equipment.
  • Selfstarter with strong organization skills and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg when required.
  • Must have Shipping/Receiving experience
  • Must be prepared and able to work in coolers and freezers
  • Forklift experience required
  • Must be able to work in a neat, organized, and efficient manner
  • Must be capable of following all HACCP & GMP standard operating procedures and accurately document & receive all shipments
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently to coordinate, respond and communicate with external customers, and inhouse warehouse personnel in a respectful manner ensuring the business needs are met and delivered
  • Familiar with Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley regions to properly set up truck routes.
  • Computer skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Physically fit to do demanding tasks repeatedly on rotation
  • Good attendance and be punctual
  • High school education or better
  • Reliable transportation
  • First Aid Level 2 certificate would be an advantage/preferred

Starting at $20.67 per hour
