The Calgary Zone Business Unit is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Calgary Zone service plan, which is a plan that outlines how the seven Calgary PCNs and their Alberta Health Service partner will deliver primary health care services to the citizens of Calgary and area.

The Calgary Zone Business Unit is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Calgary Zone service plan, which is a plan that outlines how the seven Calgary PCNs and their Alberta Health Service partner will deliver primary health care services to the citizens of Calgary and area.

The Administrator is a crucial role for the success of the Calgary Zone Business Unit.

The Administrator is a highly organized, personable, and approachable team member who has supports the administrative functions of the Calgary Zone Business Unit.


Responsibilities:

Key aspects of the position may include, but are not limited to:

Coordination and administration of Calgary Zone Business Unit:

  • Coordinate Business Unit activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to policies and procedures
  • Act as SharePoint team lead, upholding security practices, and supporting the creation and implementation of file management procedures
  • Manage Business Unit use of shared accounts such as EventBrite and Zoom
  • Manage agendas/travel and logistics/appointments for the Business Unit
  • Submit timely reports and prepare documents, as assigned
  • Provide back up support, as needed, for the Program Coordinator, including support of Alberta Find a Doctor and Specialist Link

Coordination and administration support for Calgary Zone governance:

  • Support meeting administration for Calgary Zone Committee, task groups, sub-committees, working groups and communities of practice, as required, including package preparation, agenda creation and detailed minute taking
  • Meet with Business Unit team on regular basis to ensure effective communication, and determination of team support tasks
  • Provide administrative support to Zone groups, as well as Calgary Zone leadership and provincial groups, as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Outstanding communication skills, including effective writing and editing
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Working experience with office management procedures
  • Ability to prioritize work and time management across multiple stakeholder groups

Qualifications:

Education/Certification

  • Office Administration certificate/diploma required
  • Proven strong communication skills
Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years office administration experience
  • Previous experience with SharePoint considered an asset

Employment Requirements:


  • Completion of a satisfactory criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Proof of full immunization against COVID19
