POSITION OVERVIEW


Canadian Benefits Consulting Group is looking for a highly motivated leader to join a dynamic team of entrepreneurs and consulting professionals.

As a Director, your focus will be to drive new business sales for Canadian Benefits Consulting Group, with a specific emphasis on providing group benefits to clients within the union environment.

Your key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships and centers of influence. Additionally, you will play a leadership role to the team to facilitate client retention and manage existing relationships.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive new business in the benefits space
  • In partnership with the President, lead and support a team of consultants to support and drive organic growth initiatives.
  • Responsible for driving new business sales to the organization within Canada through your individual pipeline as well as the company's lead generation system
  • Leverage indepth knowledge and experience working within the union environment to establish strong relationships and credibility.
  • Collaborate with union representatives and leaders to tailor solutions that meet their unique needs and challenges.
  • Orchestrate overall relationship with clients, which will includes: Growing adoption of change, ensuring retention, and happiness; Cement yourself as a trusted advisor with clients and drive continued value of our products and services.
  • Utilize deep TPA expertise to navigate complex benefit structures, compliance requirements, and regulatory changes.
  • Interact with clients and Insurance Companies to ensure the plan is operating efficiently and the client is satisfied with the service
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices within the benefit insurance sector.
  • Exhibit a leadership style that fosters a culture of innovation, creativity, accountability and collaboration to best service the client
  • Collaborate with the President to drive and support the business operations through strategy, operating plan, administrative budgets and processes.
  • Ensure that the client management system is successfully audited, kept up to date, and is generating reports to guide the client experience
  • Prepare for and attend the quarterly business updates with key clients regarding their benefit plan(s)

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 8+ years of advisor experience in sales of Group Benefits and/or financial products.
  • A university degree in business is preferred
  • Bachelor degree in Business Management or B.A. Economics
  • Must be LLQP (Life Licence Qualification Program) licensed
  • Knowledge and experience in Underwriting would be an asset
  • Strong initiative, leadership and strategic thinking abilities
  • Solid analytical skills required
  • Extensive experience and expertise in supporting a union environment.
  • Proven client development and relationship management experience in the benefits' space.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills required to affect change and to build effective working relationships
  • A track record of managing, leading, motivating, and engaging employees in a supportive and collaborative manner
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of how products and services impact customer needs and develop processes to improve quality
  • Ability to be a self starter with strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills
  • Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word
