This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 2-3 days minimum per week in the office.


Private Client Group - Americas ("PCG") is part of the Investor Relations Team that is responsible for the fundraising activities of the Firm.

PCG focuses on delivering HarbourVest's private markets solutions to the private wealth market primarily through financial intermediaries including wire-houses, regional broker-dealers, private banks, multi-family offices and registered investment advisors.

PCG is responsible for the distribution of HarbourVest products the private wealth channel in the US, Canada and Latin America.


  • Indepth understanding private markets and an ability to articulate HarbourVest's investment strategy
  • Relationships with advisors in major markets including Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and meet fundraising goals
  • Strong presence that instills trust and confidence with clients
  • Fluency in French preferred
  • Great teammate

What you will do:
This individual will be responsible for promoting and distributing HarbourVest' s fund offerings to wealth platforms and financial advisors in Canada, with a principal focus HarbourVest's evergreen private offerings


Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a business plan for growing assets in the HNW channel in Canada
  • Raising capital from wealth platforms in Canada by developing relationships with research teams and financial advisors
  • Educating our distribution partners and their financial advisors on HarbourVest products and the private markets in general
  • Responding to financial advisor and home office client service requests
  • Maintaining CRM data for client and prospect activity
Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA and / or CFA preferred.
Experience

  • At least 8 years of sales and relationship management experience with expertise in intermediary wealth
