Property Maintenance - Cambridge, Canada - Tigercat Industries Inc.
Description
We are looking for an energetic individual with a wide range of skills to perform landscaping, grounds keeping duties, crew organizing, property maintenance, repairs & renovations related to buildings, grounds and equipment.
In this position, you would travel around to any of our 11 locations (and growing) to perform the required work, via a company provided vehicle, starting your day likely in one of our Cambridge facilities.
Day shift: 5 x 8 hour shifts; Monday to Friday

Responsibilities may include:
- Clean external areas such as fencelines, entranceways, sidewalks and parking lots using manual and power brooms, rakes, shovels and other equipment to remove dirt and leaves
- Perform minor gardening and lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, pruning and watering
- Help with carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical and plumbing maintenance and repairs such as: assembling/installing cabinetry & fixtures, repairing furniture, constructing shelves, installing switches, replacing plugs and other basic appliance repairs
- Disassembling and reassembling equipment
- Collect and remove garbage and recyclable materials and ensures the safe disposal of hazardous waste
- Transport equipment, furniture and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and carts
- Operate a motor vehicle to pick up and move goods and supplies
- Performs other related duties as required
- Physical requirements include standing, climbing, kneeling and bending. Potential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outside
Skills and Experience:
- Previous construction, renovations, landscaping, grounds maintenance experience
- Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Must have a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
- Willingness to be exposed to outdoor elements
- Take pride in your work and recognize that your effort makes a real difference

- Good work ethic and the ability to multitask
- Physical job, required to be on your feet all day
- Effective communication skills, positive attitude
