Purpose


As a Business Coordinator in Canadian Wealth Management (CWM), you will play a pivotal role in the effective functioning of the CWM head office branch and provide essential support to the leadership team.

You will be responsible for handling a wide range of administrative tasks, with a focus on efficiency, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Accountabilities
- **Executive Support**: Provide high-level administrative support to executives, including the handling of sensitive information, managing their calendars, and coordinating meetings and appointments.

Travel Arrangements: Coordinate domestic and international travel for executives, including flights, accommodations, and itineraries.

  • Document Management: Prepare and edit reports, presentations, and other documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company guidelines.

Calendar Management:Proactively manage calendar(s), schedule meetings, and prioritize appointments to maximize productivity.

Event Coordination:Assist in planning and organizing employee and client events, conferences, and seminars, handling logistics, and ensuring smooth execution.

Expense Management:Process and track expense reports, ensuring timely reimbursement and compliance with company policies.

Office Management:Management of the daily administrative operations of the office.

Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information, including client data and company records.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the support team to ensure the overall efficiency of the office.

  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A professional demeanor and the ability to represent the company to clients and partners.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.
  • Knowledge of financial terminology and concepts is a plus but not required.

This role is a fully on-site position.
