Description
The Living Guideline for Concussion (Adults 18 years and Older) has been updated to meet the demand of research knowledge being generated in this ever
- evolving field. We are looking for a dynamic individual who has an interest in this clinical field to join our team and work with us to provide the most up-to-date information to clinicians and patients in a variety of accessible formats. This position involves working on website updates, meeting with clinicians, patients and various health care organizations to maintain a highly relevant tool for management of people who experience concussion. Our team is led by Dr. Shawn Marshall who is a highly published national leader in the field of brain injury.

  • Assist in performing systematic reviews, literature searches and prescreening of relevant articles
  • Update abstracts and articles on an eplatform (Covidence)
  • Assist with data extraction and quality assessment of relevant articles
  • Coordinate and organize feedback processes with content experts
  • Occasionally work with people who have mild traumatic brain injuries
  • Provide general support to Coordinator and project team
  • Liaise with Website Developers on behalf of the project team to update the website and standardize documentation
  • Assist with organizing, writing and preparation of Guidelines materials for publication,
  • Assist with organizing, writing and preparation of articles for scientific journals (potential opportunities for authorship)
  • Assist with promotion of the Guidelines with the hospital/research institute Communications Dept. and other organizations
  • Assist with online surveys
  • Potential for renewal pending performance review and available funding

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):

  • 12 years research experience with a secondary diploma
  • Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement 2 (TCPS2) and the International Council on Harmonisation
  • Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
  • Excellent knowledge of research methods (understanding of study designs)
  • Good statistics experience (understanding of reliability, validity, health stats, parametric and nonparametric analyses)
  • Systematic review experience, including risk of bias evaluation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite and experience with Microsoft Teams
  • Excellent ability to work well both independently and as part of a larger team
  • Ability to take direction from various sources.
  • Flexible and cooperative spirit with strong commitment to team efforts

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in health care discipline
  • Good French language skills,
  • Experience with brain injury/postconcussion population,
  • Experience working in a health care environment

Contract Details:

This is a 1-year full-time contract


Salary:
Min:$18.786/hr - Max:$23.914/hr
