Hybrid Work Model
This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the opportunity to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus.

Guidelines and requirements for in-office presence are determined by operational need and vary according to the unique needs of each business area.


The opportunity:

We are seeking a
Manager, Corporate Communications to join our team in
VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.


Reporting to the Lead, Corporate and Employee Communications, the Manager, Corporate Communications supports the organization through planning and managing the delivery of communication strategies and services, including the administration of day-to-day operations, client intake and planning in coordination with the Manager, Creative Portfolio.

The manager leads a team of communications professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated communications approach across the corporation; connecting the corporate strategy to the internal and external brand and channels, coaching and advising colleagues and internal clients on strategic communications products and planning, strategic storytelling, executive communications, community engagement, and relationship building.

This role applies experience and passion for continuous improvement to evolve the corporate communications and service model to the corporation with the branch leadership team.


What do you need to succeed?:


Must have:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or equivalent and 3 years related experience as described below; OR
  • Diploma in Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or English and 5 years progressively more responsible experience; OR
  • Certificate in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or English and 7 years progressively more responsible experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Related work experience noted above must include all of the following:
  • Leadership experience in a communications service's environment or similar communication service branch or business
  • Creating and delivering executivelevel reports, presentations, and materials such as briefing notes and strategy documents and proposals
  • Establishing collaborative relationships with senior leaders and leading organizational change associated with implementation.
  • Experience providing communications advice and recommendations to senior executives (e.g., Director, VP or equivalent experience working with executive).
