About the Company
The Cup Store is a leading provider of custom printed disposable restaurant ware.
We supply printed paper and plastic cups to a wide variety of customers for use in; restaurants, bars, cafes, corporate events and trade shows.
We print corporate logos and marketing messages on our cups for clients.About the role
The Production Lead, Forming & Printing is primarily responsible for the setup, operation, and scheduling of the paper cup forming machines.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Lead, Forming & Printing will work under minimum supervision, performing all job duties safely and in accordance with The Cup Store's procedures.
Responsibilities
Paper Cup Forming (PCF)
- Setup, operate and supervise team on the forming machines
- Troubleshoot any technical issues
- Develop production efficiencies for the new machines
- Monitor and testing and investigating quality issues
- Work with Production Manager and Operations Manager to maintain required inventory levels of finished product and raw materials
- Schedule and support PCF operators
Offset Fan Printer
- Responsible for setup, including plate preparation and ink mixing/matching
- Workclosely with Project Managers and Art department to meet timely deadlines
- Maintain quality control
- Support operators with daytoday print issues
Team Lead
- Support team and provide feedback and coaching as needed
- Preparing documentation of new processes as a base for new training materials Act as the first point of escalation for troubleshooting issues
Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Selfstarter with ability to learn and adapt
- Strong collaborator with ability to work independently as needed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to explain work processes and train team members
- Excellent organizational skills
- Adept at technical troubleshooting
- Comfortable with hand tools
- Able to prioritize and work in a fastpaced environment, with strong focus on quality
- Strong health and safety focus
