If you answered yes, our Chalk River location is looking for a Document Controller to provide general records management and document control services to ensure CNL's information assets are managed in accordance with well defined policies, procedures, processes and practices in order that records may be retrievable in the future to support department requirements.

What will you be doing

  • Conduct quality verification on formal documents to ensure conformity with Information Management standards.
  • Conduct verification on all other types of documents entered in the system to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Acts as the main contact to answer routine questions, obtain and provide information to stakeholders within and outside the organizations ensuring timely and accurate response.
  • Format documents on behalf of client, including building simple forms
  • Provides backup support to others in branch
  • File formal correspondence, Software Code, Analysis Data

What we are looking for:


  • Successful completion of secondary school (Grade 12) with 23 years of related experience or college diploma in a related discipline and one year experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe to filter reports, capture documents in PDF format, format documents, and prepare them for archival, modify existing procedures and create flowcharts.
  • General knowledge of the internal database to search, validate, issue, archive and process documents.
  • General knowledge of company and divisional standards of document control, records management and archival of engineering/project records and their associated documentation.
  • Detailoriented to identify discrepancies and errors in formatting and coding of documentation as well as any inconsistencies in metadata and records.
  • Oral and written communication skills to relay information oneonone to interpret existing procedures to customers and coworkers.
  • Tact and courtesy in dealing with internal customers.
  • Ability to get and maintain Level 2 Security Clearance.
  • Works towards the Records Management Certification

Security clearance eligibility required:

Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom.

Location:

Our Work from Home employees are provided with the equipment required to be successful:
laptop, monitor, external etc. Of course, we always love a visit to site when possible
