JOB SUMMARY
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential responsibilities of the job include but are not necessarily restricted to the following:
- Research and maintain asset records information and update various Hydro Ottawa records systems, including GIS (Geographic Information System), to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Answer inquiries from both internal and external customers, consultants, developers and lawyers with respect to Hydro Ottawa existing and/or proposed plant, land rights, clearances and property ownership.
- Daily processing and maintenance of electronic and/or paper-based information.
- Verify the accuracy of asset records by field checking or initiating field checks by others and correct data errors as required.-
- Coordinate the timely acquisition and or maintenance of land rights with internal and external parties. This includes requisition creation and invoice processing.
- Coordinate Third Party Attacher transfer process, including field verification, budget reporting and status reporting.
- Assist with training staff on Records Administrator processes as required.-
- Advise staff in other Divisions on the progress and status of electrical connection service requests and other inquiries.
- Coordinate and track unmetered services with external utilities, and providing reports to internal and external clients.
- Perform other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Post-secondary education preferably in a technical discipline such as geographic information systems or business and a minimum of 3 years' experience in an electrical distribution utility with a good understanding of the operations of utility distribution systems and the ability to read and understand distribution maps, or- Secondary School Diploma and a minimum of 5 years' experience in an electrical distribution utility with a good understanding of the operations of utility distribution systems and the ability to read and understand distribution maps- Knowledge of information management principles, information systems and archives.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS- English essential, both oral and written.- Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset.- Valid Drivers' License - Class G
The terms and conditions of employment for this position are governed by the collective agreement between Hydro Ottawa Limited and IBEW Local 636.

$48,708.40
Pay Range Maximum:
$74,815.65
