About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Standards and Quality Lead, the Training and Sustainment Specialist is responsible for providing input and feedback to the Lead and Manager; implementing and evaluating training for the Integrated Scheduling Services.

This includes; standardized scheduling processes, training materials, training delivery, and providing support to scheduling operations in the zones.


The Training and Sustainment Specialist strives to build relationships across the organization through enabling and providing tools to all levels of leaders and staff under the direction of the Integrated Scheduling Services team.

Essential components of this position include creativity, interpersonal skills, professional development, communication, relationship-building, and change management so as to provide effective guidance through improvements in staff scheduling.


The Training and Sustainment Specialist is able to combine a knowledge of the current scheduling processes and collective agreement standards that are in place; with the needs of the operational units/areas that their training team supports.

This role requires travel throughout the assigned zone, and perhaps at times throughout the province to build key relationships with the managers within the zone and scheduling offices, Employees within the zone, Human Resources Teams, and Labour Relations.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Admin or a related field required. (i.e. Office Administration, Human Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, etc.)
  • 3 years experience in staff scheduling with 1 years in a supervisory or training capacity
  • Experience with scheduling software
  • 3 years knowledge and experience in Human Resources (including Collective Agreements)
  • Knowledge of the environment, Scheduling practices and time reporting processes preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills

Hours:


  • Permanent Fulltime position; 75 hours biweekly
  • 5 positions
  • Travel to various sites may be required

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $36.11 Hourly
