The opportunity


The Junior Talent Consultant acts as a key point of contact for employees and leaders in select functions with the EY Core Business Services (CBS) service line.

The incumbent will understand the business needs and strategy of the CBS function(s), understand how to translate these needs into relevant talent initiatives and work to ensure the successful implementation of key, high-touch people processes and initiatives, aligned with the business strategies.

The incumbent will also support select projects and will work closely with CBS Talent Leader and the local/global Talent teams.


Your key responsibilities

  • Partner and communicate with business leaders to design and deliver talent initiatives; provide coaching and guidance to support the firm's strategic growth agenda
  • Help execute talent processes including compensation planning, performance management, talent development, onboarding / integration, workforce planning and employee engagement strategies across a geography or function
  • Serve as the first point of contact on employee relations issues; manage/handle issues as appropriate (communicating with Talent Team and function leadership); escalate issues as needed
  • Advise leaders on managing employee issues that may arise
  • Assist with various projects and reporting to support the efficient operations of the CBS Talent team
  • Collaborate with the Talent Consultants and COEs such as Rewards, Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition to ensure the seamless implementation of talent initiatives to support the firm's strategic growth agenda
  • Coordinate with Talent Shared Services staff to ensure proper handling of administrative issues and needs.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of excel/dashboards, analytics, and how to ensure data integrity
  • Ability to operate effectively and independently in a new environment; use professional judgement and experience to support decisionmaking
  • Experience and understanding of employment legislation would be helpful
  • Some experience in project management and change management would be helpful

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience in a HR support role
