Position Overview:


Build your Career with Finning Canada We are looking for our next Technical Communicator to join our growing team in a hybrid position based out of any Finning location.

This is a great opportunity to work closely supporting a large customer base across a variety of Finning products and services.

You will be responsible for maximizing product availability and productivity, as well as minimizing total cost of ownership through the analysis of remote and condition monitoring data.

You will drive Finning parts and service revenue through service recommendations and/or reduce operating expenses through early problem identification.


Job Description:


  • Provide excellent customer service by sharing your technical knowledge about Finning products and services
  • Drive customer loyalty and grow customer accounts by developing trusted partnerships
  • Review, aggregate, and correlate all available sources of condition monitoring data to provide troubleshooting and repair recommendations
  • Identify trends within equipment and components to make relevant recommendations in improving product performance
  • Maintain strong communication with internal and external customer base
  • Comminicate with end customers as well as key Finning stakeholders to provide recommendations as required
  • Utilize CAT Service Information System and Service Management Information (Technical Bulletins, Service Magazines, etc.) to substantiate and qualify recommendations
  • Leverage Remote Flash Technology to ensure customer's assets are equipped with the latest software
  • Support and develop adoption of Smart Support across the business

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge with understanding of equipment is an asset (Journeyperson Certification Preferred)
  • Experience with Caterpillar product groups
  • Proven ability to utilize a variety of software tools (M3, Smartsheet, databases, flowcharts, etc.)
  • Possess a customercentric approach to the business
  • Persuasive commination skills with the ability to influence purchasing decisions
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Organizational ability to help with problem solving and prioritization of multiple requests
