Responsibilities:
_ Business Development_
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building.
- Actively prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and other leadgeneration activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and potential threats.
_Sales_
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients to showcase our offerings.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales proposals and presentations tailored to each prospect's needs to win new business.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless project implementation and delivery.
- Provide strategic input and recommendations to senior management on new market opportunities, product enhancements, and business expansion initiatives.
_Proposal Writing_
- Write persuasive and compelling bid proposals in response to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information) to win new business.
- Create and maintain a library of proposal content, templates, and reusable assets for future use.
- Format and organize proposal documents according to client requirements and company standards.
- Review and edit proposal content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with requirements.
_Marketing_
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to promote our products/services and increase brand visibility.
- Write and edit highquality content for marketing materials and digital assets.
- Manage the company's online presence and reputation, including content creation.
- Defines market potential by analyzing market surveys and sales statistics; estimating volume and profit potential; preparing forecasts.
- Develop and execute overall companywide sales and marketing strategy.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, professional writing, or other education deemed equivalent.
- 4+ years of proven experience writing successful proposals and bids in a similar role.
- 4+ years in a business development/sales role.
- Proven record of accomplishment of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Association for Proposal Management Professional (APMP) accreditation at the Foundation Level is an asset.
- Project Management/coordination experience is an asset.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong English language and writing skills, including attention to detail and the ability to proofread, edit, and format materials.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to understand technical information and translate it into clear, compelling proposal content.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for proposal development and familiarity with government contracting processes is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- You should be comfortable as a selfstarter, able to plan and prioritize sales activities and customer engagement to exceed assigned sales targets.
- Can build strong relationships and communicate with technical and nontechnical users and stakeholders.
- Articulate the value proposition of our products or services effectively
