Overview


Acts as a Receptionist and performs clerical duties including data entry in Ansos and maintains statistical information for patient care delivery in the Out Patient Clinics.

Relates to patients and their families in a professional and courteous manner and interacts collaboratively with the interdisciplinary staff to provide patient-centered care.

Education

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent educational preparation.
  • Training related to office administration/office coordinator.

Qualifications:


  • 2 years of relevant recent experience working as a unit clerk.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Computer literacy required; demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent keyboarding skills.
  • Skill in use of Powerchart, Ansos, SAP/SRM.
  • Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and discretion in matters related to patients, staff, and hospital affairs.
  • Able to work independently as well as work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Must be prepared to work in all areas of Medicine Health Services (skills & abilities considered).
  • Good work and attendance recordrequired.
