This Opportunity:


We are currently looking to fill 2 Permanent Full-Time roles of Life Skills Facilitator (known internally as a Rehabilitation Worker) in the Bridgewater area of Winnipeg.

Starting wage is $22.97.


Roles and responsibilities:


  • Reporting responsibilities (incident reports, behavioural data collection and verbalreports)
  • Participate in any required training
  • Follow policies and procedures as required
  • Provide one to one support and group support within the home and community toadults with disabilities with activities of daily living, personal care, and rehabilitation planning.
  • Communicate with consumer, family, and team members.
  • Work a variety of shifts based on a rotational schedule (combination of days, evenings and weekends).
  • Compensated On-Call Duties on rotational basis.
  • Performs duties in a professional manner, which respects the dignity and right to privacy and maintains client and staff health and safety.

Qualifications and experience:


  • Post-Secondary preferred in Human and Social Services
  • Experience in Human Services field
  • Current CPI and CPR, First Aid an asset
  • Proven consistency in work performance, including reliability and flexibility
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Sound behavioural management skills, cognitive problemsolving skills.
  • Proven teamwork abilities
  • Working knowledge of disabilities
  • Ability to effectively deal with behavioural situations
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
