The Platform branch within DDD is accountable for supporting ministry programs through the planning, development, delivery and operations of user-centered common platform services.
The branch builds and develops common platforms and data services that enable product teams to deliver working software that meets the needs of their users.
Role Responsibilities:
The Platform branch is looking for a Platforms Analyst to be part of a matrix platform team. The role will report to the Manager of Common Platforms.
The responsibilities for this role include:
- Leading analysis and assessment over problem definition and platform design employing systems thinking approach to help meet the needs of government and users.
- Supporting product team solutions to ensure alignment of solutions with existing platform offerings and helping design new platforms to meet the needs of product teams.
- Providing technical expertise, advice, and recommendations to support designdriven innovation in government.
- Participating in promoting Platforms practice and governance.
- Working with development teams and supporting the Managers and Director of Common Platforms to achieve unit goals and priorities.

Qualifications:
University degree in a related field (Computing Science, etc.) plus four (4) years related experience in digital development and delivery is required.
Equivalencies:
- A twoyear diploma in a related field plus six (6) years related experience.
- A oneyear certificate in a related field plus seven (7) years related experience. A minimum of eight (8) years related experience.
Extensive knowledge and understanding in the following areas is required:
- Experience analyzing research data and presenting findings in diverse ways.
- Experience with prototypes in different media across digital and physical channels.
- Experience moving through projects shifting focus from small details to understanding the whole system and the relationship between them.
- Experience using advanced oral and written communication skills with staff at all organizational levels to address the value of service design.
- Experience creating journey maps, service blueprints or other visual representations to gain consensus within teams and with partner programs.
- Experience planning and facilitating codesign workshops.
- Experience working with digital services (services including a significant digital component; may include other channels).
- Knowledge of Agile delivery approaches including the fundamentals of platform service design, humancentered design and continuous delivery of value
The following are assets:
- Experience in user centered digital delivery.
- Experience with financial management, identity and access management, and/or mobile app development.

Hours of Work:7.25 hours daily; 36.25 hours weekly, Monday to Friday
