Responsibilities:

General machining of mechanical components including turning, drilling, milling, boring, threading, broaching, lapping, honing and keyway cutting
Ability to precision measure and machine components, as per sample or drawings.
Maintain tight tolerances as per requirements
Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and blueprints
Verify all measurements using standard instruments
Perform regular machine inspections and preventative maintenance
Miscellaneous mechanical work as needed.

Qualifications:

Machinist trade certification preferred
Minimum of 510 years industry experience with conventional machines
Must be experienced in the use of manual lathes, milling machines, and general shop equipment
Knowledge of safety practices and safety consciousness
Ability to follow instructions and work without close supervision
Willing to put in overtime hours as required
Reliable, organized, punctual
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Team player with solid troubleshooting skills
Ability to assess and estimate times for rebuild work
Strong mechanical aptitude
