Hotel Night Auditor Summary

Hockley Valley is constantly growing and is looking for an experienced Night Auditor.
The Night Auditor is responsible for the overnight operations of the Hotel, verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges and revenues.
The Night Auditor is also responsible for Front Desk duties such as to process check-ins, check out, make reservations, answer incoming calls and answer any questions or requests made by guests.
Job Duties:
Hotel Night Auditor
- Analyzes nightly documentation from each department and their accuracy
- Pulls and prints reports for night audit and management
- Ensures current day is closed and operating day is turned over correctly
- Programs all wake up calls in the system
- Verifies front desk float upon arrival and departure of the shift
- Ensures day's activities for the Movie system is summarized and turned over
- Completes monthly inventory report for gift shop items
- Assists in front office duties which may include but are not exclusive to answering the telephones, checking in/out guests and responding to guest inquiries
- Responsible for reporting ski conditions (from The Ontario Snow resorts Association)
- Reviews special service request for arrivals
- Clean sand tidy front desk area
- Assists the security/night manager in resolving any security issues as and when required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
- Second language, an asset
- Overnight experience is an asset
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skill
- Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to multitask
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mono, ON L9W 5X7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
