Job Summary:

Primary Responsibilities:

Industrial coatings to a variety of new and older mobile oilfield service equipment using standard and/or nonstandard tools, equipment, and procedures. Using considerable judgment to ensure quality and/or proper procedures are used.
Material preparation masking, blowing, sanding and preparing components.
Painting selecting and mixing paints, operating painting equipment including pumps and guns
Abrasive blasting occasionally operating abrasive blasting equipment to prepare components for paint.
Read equipment assembly specifications, such as charts, schematics, blueprints, and typed instructions and details
Brings technical problems encountered to the Lead Hand's attention for resolution throughout the project.
Participate in regular shop/yard organization and cleanliness exercises.
Complete and maintain various records and documentation
Demonstrate the capability to work independently or in a team on complex and multiple projects requiring judgment to resolve problems.
Familiarize yourself with operation controls such as safe working practices and job hazard analysis as appropriate to specific work tasks.
Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements.
Assist with shop maintenance requirements.
All other duties as assigned.

Painter / Prepper Applicable Concentrations:

Qualifications Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED an asset
Must have experience or demonstrate equivalent knowledge of industrial painting processes
Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and departments

HSE Requirements:

Shop environment, warehouse and working indoors/outdoors. Possibility to be exposed to dust, fumes, or gases and changes of temperature/humidity
Possible physical requirements: squatting, bending, lifting, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, reaching, twisting, crawling, climbing, ladder work, and working near moving equipment
First Aid, forklift, overhead crane training is beneficial to this role
Required to wear steel toe boots, safety glasses or side shields, hard hat, and ear protection. Task pending face shield and/or ventilation mask required.
