OmniaBios facility will be Canadas first commercial-scale contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) dedicated to cell and gene therapies and is expected to be the largest facility of its kind in Canada.
Based at McMaster Innovation Park in Hamilton, Ontario, OmniaBio will anchor a biomanufacturing centre of excellence and open in three phases between 2024 and 2026.
Benefitting from CCRMs existing expertise and business practices, OmniaBio currently has established process and analytical development teams and contract manufacturing capabilities.
The vision is to provide focused support for clients with late clinical-stage manufacturing and commercial supply needs, in addition to early-stage development and first in-human clinical trial material services.
The Cleaning Lead Hand is responsible for leading the facility cleaning group in cleaning activities within the material storage and manufacturing area clean rooms.
The position is located at OmniaBios Hamilton, Ontario facility and is based on site to support 24/7 manufacturing activities.The cleaning groups primary focus will be maintaining the facility to clean room requirements, to ensure the documentation and facility are compliant for manufacture to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
Additionally, the position may assist the Manager to ensure the team is meeting expectations through training, coaching and monitoring performance.
Training will be provided at the Canadian Advanced Therapies Training Institutes training facility, located at the University of Guelph.Oversees and monitors cleaning activities within the GMP manufacturing facility, including clean rooms, laboratories, materials management and warehousing areas.
Oversees, trains and mentors the cleaning technicians.Assists with the development of the cleaning and disinfection strategy for grade B, C and D clean rooms.
Performs cleaning duties, as required.
Reviews cleaning, equipment and preventative maintenance programs to ensure that they reflect current practices and identify required changes.
Directs assigned contractor activities, when applicable.
Completes all scheduled tasks within the allowed time frame.
Uses approved cleaning materials and tools.
Monitors inventory of cleaning materials and consumables, and reports when items need to be ordered.
Identifies deficiencies and reports deviations immediately.
3+ years of experience in an industrial/commercial cleaning or an operations capacity in a biopharma/pharmaceutical GMP environment.
~General knowledge of building operations.
~ General knowledge of cleaning equipment operations.
~ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Strong English written and oral communication skills.
