Under the direction/supervision of the Principal and Facilities Administration, the Head Custodian is responsible for
maintaining the physical school plant and grounds in a safe, clean, comfortable, attractive and efficient condition
within the guidelines, regulations and policies of the Louis Riel School Division.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of Grade 12 education

Valid Manitoba 5th Class Power Engineers Certificate

One to two years of related experience

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to respond effectively to the public and school staff
Good communication and organization skills
Ability to operate power and manual cleaning equipment and tools
Ability to work effectively as a team member and with little supervision
Ability to keep minor records
Knowledge of WHMIS preferred
Excellent skills in both official languages (English and French) required for French Immersion Schools
