Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in a residential setting
- Supervise daily activities and routines of the children
- Assist with homework and educational activities
- Plan and implement recreational and social activities for the children
- Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and other staff members
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of the children
- Administer medication and provide basic first aid when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a residential or group home setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and empathy
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow established protocols and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in child care or related field preferred
