JOB SUMMARY


Reporting to the Meetings and Banquets Manager, you will work within the banquets & catering team of the hotel and ensure guest satisfaction.

YOUR ROLE

  • Manage service staff at meeting spaces
  • Optimize guest satisfaction with regard to service
  • Participate in coaching and training staff reflecting the Germain service standards
  • Provide guidance and support to the service team
  • Schedule staff according to forecasts
  • Maintain inventories and ensure equipment is in working order
  • Ensure quality levels and maintain quality standards in production, service, and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and practices
  • Liaise regularly with other departments
  • Prepare the event spaces so they are ready for service, ensuring all tasks are completed to the correct standard according to the business levels as requested by your direct manager.
  • To be fully confident/knowledgeable with all aspects of running the event space floor and the operations. This includes; the room standards, understanding BEO, room setups, daytoday service, and preparation for future events.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Proven ability to plan and organize events effectively, with an acute sense of time management and attention to detail
  • Proven work in a team environment and ability to work independently
  • Assertive, professional, and positive with a proven ability to develop and lead in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, outgoing, friendly, and persuasive personality
  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a role with direct personnel supervision
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
  • Professional, enthusiastic, energetic, a people person
  • Able to work and communicate well
  • Able to accommodate a flexible work schedule (afternoons, evenings, weekends)
  • Able to lift up to 50lb, reach, bend, push, and stoop
  • Able to work in a standing position for up to 6 hours
  • Able to work under pressure
