Cafe Blublu is opening in the Summer of 2023.

It is a seats upscale cafe located in downtown Toronto, offering coffee and brunch during the day and turns to a wine bar that serves small plates at night.

We have a small team that is passionate about culinary as well as creating a joyful and memorable dining experience for our guest, and is looking for a like-minded General Manager to open and operate our business, opening in the Summer of 2023.


Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Direct and coordinate all activities throughout the restaurant.
  • Ensure high quality, customerdriven service during dinner service
  • Demonstrate a passion for food
  • Knowledge in wine
  • Communicate effectively to all FOH and BOH teammates to ensure smooth daily operation.
  • Hire and train FOH team member
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate patience and understanding
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency
  • Desire to learn and grow

Summary of Responsibilities:


  • Take responsible in scheduling and managing the FOH team
  • Have abundant knowledge to be able to make recommendations and educate guests on the menu
  • Work together with team member to create a unique dining experience for our guests
  • Hire, train and inspire our team members
  • Effectively communicate with team memer to resolve improve performance
  • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in an upscale concept restaurant (managerial role preferred).
  • Wine knowledge required, experience as a sommelier preferred
  • Smart serve required

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From $65,000.00 per year


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Evening shift

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
