Job Description AECOM **is hiring a Project Coordinator to join our Buildings and Places (B+P) business lines to be based in Kitchener.


Tasks would include:

  • Managing one or more less complex projects or managing certain phases of projects only
  • Generally working under the supervision of a senior Project Manager/Program Manager or above, or a Regional Manager
  • Makes sound, wellinformed and objective decisions relating to assigned project with a strong understanding of the impact and implications of decisions.
  • Manages project resources.
  • Handling and coordinating daytoday tasks for Operations Managers, Program Managers and others on the project management team
  • Assist Operations Managers with monthly workload and financial projections
  • Assist Project Managers with project controls including project tracking, financial analysis and project billing
  • Managing appointments, meetings, and conferences
  • Organizing travel arrangements
  • Preparing presentations, reports, proposals and correspondence
  • Managing filing systems
  • Liaising with clients
  • Maintain efficiency within the office by establishing the best policies, standards, and procedures for their company or department
  • Assist in training and onboarding new hires
  • Organize projectwide, corporate and internal meetings and events
  • Acting as a point of contact for phone calls and correspondence

Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:


  • Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience in project administration
  • Proficient in the MS suite: MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills multitasking and ability to effectively coordinate tasks. Developed planning skills.
  • Diplomacy working with multiple senior level employees across multiple organizations
  • Adaptability
  • Proficiency and flexibility with different software systems
  • Discretion as this person will be working with highly confidential matters.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts.
  • Engineering or technical education and understanding is ideal
