We provide turnkey supply-chain service for construction material as well as crating/packaging/marshalling and shipping via Sealift, Ground Transport & Air.

We manage the logistics and provide excellent customer service support along the way, by planning and paying attention to every detail.


Position:
Crater

Crater Role:


This contract position entails crating customer materials in a safe and efficient manner with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to meet strict deadlines.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Build wooden crates for customer packages, using woodworking, power, and air tools.
  • Builds crating bases for our warehouse order pickers.
  • Responsible for all handling of drywall.
  • Works closely with our warehouse and yard order pickers to ensure all material is being measured, placed, and packaged accurately with mínimal air space within in the crate.
  • Crate and secure items safely and effectively to ensure no damage is done to the material.
  • Record all necessary crate data such as crate numbers, dimensions, and weights.
  • Operated a forklift to transport material and/or crates to appropriate locations.
  • Maintains a clean workstation.
  • Work effectively, with strict sealift deadlines.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Strong prioritization and organization skills
  • Outgoing and willing to work extra hours.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Team player
  • Experience operating a forklift an asset.
  • Be able to lift material up to 50 lbs.

Salary:
$17.00-$23.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Long Sault, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
