The Opportunity


Are you an HR Professional that wants to join a growing start-up headquartered in Calgary? If so, our new HR Business Partner role is an opportunity to create people initiatives that align with our core values and culture.


In this hands-on role, you will be the key contact to support the growth of the organization from employee relations, total rewards, talent acquisition, employment law, systems implementations, DEI and employee experience.

You are someone that embodies the Ziing culture and core values, and ensures they are embedded into the employee lifecycle.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage HR initiatives such as systems implementations, onboarding & offboarding, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
  • Partner with leaders to support them in their people priorities from recruitment, promotions, transfers, performance management and employee relations.
  • Participate in talent attraction and retention strategies, and ensure diversity, equity and inclusion are embedded.
  • Maintain our total rewards, including the administration of benefits and payroll.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise as the business grows and determine scalable solutions that arise.
  • Develop and implement processes to enhance and automate workflows.

Requirements:


  • Undergraduate degree in human resources, business, or a related field. CPHR is strongly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Canadian legislative frameworks and jurisdictions.
  • You have a combination of HR experience in the following areas: talent acquisition, HR systems, onboarding & offboarding, employee relations, performance management, total rewards, and/or employment law,
  • You bring strong project management skills and effective execution skills to ensure successful delivery of people initiatives, processes, and policies.
  • You are open, approachable and an excellent listener with a proven ability to build trust.
  • You demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and resiliency in daytoday work.
