The Sudbury Catholic District School Board is located in Northeastern Ontario and serves approximately 6,000 students in 18 schools located in Greater Sudbury, as well as in Markstay and Killarney.

Our School Board is host to and celebrates diverse cultures and is comprised of dedicated staff committed to high quality education that inspires and promotes lifelong learning.

The Board is currently seeking an Instructor for the Cleaner Training Program.

The Instructor is responsible for supervising and supporting students during facility and community placements.

They are responsible for instructing, monitoring student activity and keeping current anecdotal records on student progress.
The Instructor ensures that students follow proper safety procedures and maintain appropriate discretion and confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:

Education / Certification:

Secondary Diploma

Experience Required:

5 years of recent related working experience

REQUIREMENTS:

ISSA Clean Standards certification or equivalent knowledge and experience
Strong knowledge of Personal Health Information Protection Act
Knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act
Working knowledge of custodial processes and procedures and custodial cleaning/grounds equipment
Selfstarter and able to work under mínimal supervision
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong leadership skills
Excellent skills in communication and group dynamics
Ability to effectively communicate and relate to people tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times is essential
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certificate in adult literacy and /or numeracy training, or certificate/diploma in delivering learning to adults
Experience teaching or instructing adults is an asset

Salary based on qualifications, minimum $30.52 per hour - maximum $45.07 per hour
