Procurement Advisor to join our procurement team in Vancouver.
Key responsibilities

Adherence to Policy and Process: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Work to mitigate risks related to legal and ethical compliance within Sedgman's procurement processes.

Strategic Procurement Planning:Understand and contribute to the development of procurement registers and plans produced for each project and work to these.

Supplier Management: Identify potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and establish contracts for the procurement of goods and services. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective sources of supply.

Sourcing/Tendering:Manage the tendering process, including the preparation and evaluation of tenders or bids for a number of procurement packages and be proficient with the use of online e-tendering platforms.

Contract Management: Develop and administer contracts of allocated packages, ensuring that terms and conditions are met and that Sedgman's interests are protected.

Cost Management: Administer costs to allocated budgets. Strive to achieve cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting delivery timelines. This includes the use of Sedgman's ERP for managing purchasing commitments (JDE).

Documentation transmission: Be proficient with centralised document management systems for collaboration and ensure communication with project team and suppliers are conducted through this system

Reporting: Maintain accurate and organized procurement records. Contribute to monthly reports on procurement activities.

To be successful in this role you will have 5 plus years in procurement and understand the pressures of working in a construction, contracting or project/engineering environment.

Salary range in BC:
$80,000-110,000

  • The salary offered to the successful person for this position will consider education, experience, relevant skills and capability, geographic location and market conditions at the time of hire
