Warehouse Program Coordinator (Full-time/Permanent) Ve'ahavta
is seeking a Warehouse Program Coordinator for our Warehouse program.

You must be able to train participants with lived experience of poverty and homelessness to seek regular employment in warehousing.

You will be responsible for warehouse management, participant training, program coordination, and logistics, as well as stakeholder relations.

JOB PURPOSE


This role requires you to provide hands-on training to program participants on inventory management in a warehouse environment, working side-by-side with a team of volunteers, to receive, sort, and store items, including clothing, hygiene supplies along with perishable and non-perishable foods.


ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Ve'ahavta's Warehouse Program provides individuals with lived experience of poverty or homelessness with hands-on training to learn skills necessary for working effectively in a warehouse environment. Program participants are expected to also develop their leadership capacities while developing proficiencies in warehousing.

Program participants who are interested in pursuing careers in warehousing and inventory management receive paid training opportunities as well as the support of a Career Counsellor and Case Manager to help them develop concrete goals and plans, for further education and stable employment.

The strength od your interpersonal skills is very crucial for succession this role.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
In this role, you will be a part of a progressive team of social service program professionals.

You will champion health and safety in the warehouse by ensuring proper guidelines are being followed by all participants and volunteers.

Inventory management will also be something you oversee by ensuring that sufficient inventory of supplies is maintained, and regularly communicating with suppliers.


You will lead the training and orientation of all our new program participants, considering their individual lived experience with poverty and homelessness.

In coordinating and facilitating the training component of the program, you will support individuals in their learning goals and help them navigate the Learning Management System (LMS).


At the end of our programs, you will collaborate with a Case Manager to ensure a streamlined offboarding process, and post-program support.


As a Warehouse Coordinator you will also supervise the volunteers supporting the program, ensuring thorough training, onboarding, and opportunities for relationship building between participants and volunteers.

We are seeking a dependable, personable, and highly organized person who meets the following eligibility criteria:

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 35 years of work experience in warehouse coordination/ supply chain management, 2+ years, in supervisory role
  • 2+ years working with vulnerable populations, specifically with those with lived experience is an asset
  • Supply chain management/warehouse logistics and safety training certificate
  • Skills, experience, and passion for training, teaching, and mentorship
  • Proficient with online communications tools and platforms, experience using an LMS an asset
  • Highly organized and dependable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, highly compassionate, patient, and supportive
  • Highly responsible and safetyoriented'
