Department Overview Founded in 2004 in Vancouver Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, provides trusted security solutions to the global market.

Avigilon designs, develops, and manufactures advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems.

Avigilons solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.


Job Description:

This role will primarily work remote, but will be expected to be in office on an adhoc basis. This office is located in downtown Vancouver.

Responsibilities include

Lead and oversee the month end close, liaising with various internal finance departments including AP, AR, FP&A and Tax

Understand the Fixed Video group structure and intercompany relationships with parent company, ensuring appropriate elimination of intercompany transactions within SAP and in Oracle

Review key accounting working papers and reconciliations

Champion the SAP Chart of Accounts and mapping to Oracle interface

Coordinate deliverables to corporate accounting, including lease disclosure support

Coordination of annual impairment analysis of fixed assets

Oversee and present monthly and quarterly results to management and corporate accounting

Oversee preparation of foreign statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable GAAP

Assist with the timely completion of tax reporting requirements, including VAT and transfer pricing

Liaise with external auditors regarding financial reporting at the group and subsidiary level

Liaise with internal auditors and SOX team regarding various controls performed at the business level

Ensure all financial deadlines are met in an accurate and timely manner

Other duties as required from time to time in support of the Fixed Video finance department, including process improvement initiatives

Ongoing training and development of team members


Qualifications:

CPA or CA

Strong knowledge of IFRSUS GAAP

Multicurrency, multijurisdictional consolidation experience

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with both internal and external parties

Detailoriented and results driven

Selfstarter who has a positive attitude and also works well within a team environment

Ability to organize and balance multiple projects in a fastpaced environment

Experience with SAP andor Oracle

Previous experience with full cycle accounting and month end reporting

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Practical experience with or auditing a public, multinational company working with teams in different time zones
