Job Description:


Purpose and Scope:


As a member of the Corporate IT team, the Network and Server Administrator maintains the global operations of the enterprise network and server infrastructure.

This role reports to the Director, Information Technology, Stackpole, while working out of both our Ancaster and our Mississauga facilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the global operation of the enterprise network and server infrastructure, WAN, Active Directory, and Servers
  • Second level support for primary desktop support role at home facility
  • Create and document global IT standards and best practices, policy and procedure, disaster recovery to align with business strategy
  • Assist in performing scheduled audits of all systems globally
  • Coordinate with outside IT vendors for North American software licenses, printer leases, internet connectivity and keep organized
  • A member of the IT team providing 24x7 global backup support for network security, hardware and software.
  • Works in compliance with Stackpole Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 1400
  • Perform related duties as required

Qualifications, Education And / or Experience:

  • Qualifications:_
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/201
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, Wireless LAN and Firewalls
  • Cisco certification or working towards certification is required
  • Active Directory, and Exchange in a multisite environment
  • Experience in designing, building, deploying and operationally maintaining complex IT infrastructures in a multisite environment
  • Experienced in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and resolving Microsoft Hyper-V technologies
  • Knowledge of third party products and services like Microsoft System Center, BlackBerry BES and APPASSURE Backup preferred
  • Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers & service provider relationships across multiple sites
  • Experience running a 24X7 environment

  • Fluent in English, written and verbal communication skills, Chinese, Turkish, German knowledge is an asset
  • Excellent analytical abilities and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, highlevel of motivation and ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Able to travel locally and internationally as required, 75% local, 25% travel
