- $150,232.00/YearThe City of Port Moody is seeking professional and experienced applicants for the regular, full-time position of Deputy Fire Chief of Administration.


The Deputy Chief of Administration will help foster an inclusive culture which encourages teamwork, accountable leadership, customer service excellence, and personal and professional growth.

Reporting to the Fire Chief, this position will guide department administration, fire prevention and life safety education, emergency management, information technology, facilities management and other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities

  • Administration
  • Oversee Fire Prevention and Community Outreach Division
  • Responsible for Information Technology systems
  • Facilities Management coordination
  • Return to work/ Disability Management
  • Payroll / Rostering Administration
  • Represents Fire-Rescue on professional committees


  • Emergency Management

  • Provide emergency management and planning expertise
  • Develops or assists with the development of plans to support mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery
  • Develop and implement emergency planning programs
  • Plan and facilitate scenario exercises for Emergency Operations Centre.


  • Operations

  • Serve as a Duty Chief on a rotational basis
  • Assist the Deputy Fire Chief of Operations and the Fire Chief as required

Basic Qualifications:


  • Significant structural firefighting leadership experience in an urban and urban /forest interface setting;
  • Postsecondary education in the area of public service leadership, preferably in emergency services;
  • Fire Officer 1, 2, 3 & 4 or equivalent;


  • Emergency Management
training and experience.
