Skills and qualifications:

Bachelor's a related area of study, and/or experience working in a related field
Ontario College of Teachers certification preferred
Experienced in teaching high school and elementary school courses
Knowledge of the Ontario curriculum
Excellent writing skills to effectively teach grammar/punctuation rules and all steps of the writing process
Ability to develop lesson plans based on student needs and feedback
Passion for teaching and mentoring students
Effective interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication
Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

Instruct students in oneonone form or a small, groupbased environment
Deliver lessons in a creative manner
Help students improve critical analysis and writing skills
Collect and mark homework
