POSITION OVERVIEW
The Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator will perform a variety of duties related to our team of Care Professionals. This innovative and compassionate individual will help us continue to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families.

This will include recruiting and evaluating applicants, onboarding new team members while maintaining active contact with our existing staff through social events and ongoing training.

The objective is to provide our staff and clients with the highest, most personalized, care experience. This position is on-site in Niagara Falls with the possibility of 1 day/week remote once performance is demonstrated.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Be an effective communicator verbally and in written form, with the franchise owner, colleagues, clients and families we support.
  • Create presentations and conduct them online and inperson.
  • Develop and implement new recruitment strategies for our community.
  • Schedule and conduct applicant interviews, orientations, background checks and supplemental training sessions.
  • Create and maintain all employment records and all other employment related documents.
  • Schedule and conduct Care Professional annual reviews and all supervision including performance conversations, accountabilities and problem resolution.
  • Plan and successfully execute all Care Professional meetings and social events.
  • Evaluate and update all orientation and training materials as needed.
  • Monitor compliance for local, federal and health and safety laws.
  • Work in partnership with the Scheduling Department to coordinate Care Professional schedules with an emphasis on creating high quality matches and extraordinary relationships.
  • Participate in after hours oncall rotation, 1 evening per week and 1 weekend per month (Friday evening to Monday morning)
  • Conduct inperson client Care Consultations and introductions as needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education/Experience:


  • Postsecondary education preferred, with focus on related field.
  • One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, be insurable on company vehicle and comfortable driving within boundaries of territory.
  • Experience in leading teams or training others is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Ability to learn and uphold the policies and procedures established by Ontario Inc., (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise)
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively, in person and on the telephone
  • Have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decisionmaking skills
  • Demonstrate discretion, integrity and fairmindedness consistent with office standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the senior care industry
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
  • Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time
  • Present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Excel in being patient and congenial on the telephone
  • Possess computer skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook as well as the ability to create presentations
  • Have the availability to work evenings or weekends as required
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and/or lead a team
  • Excellent organizational skills
