Clearpoint Surgical Toronto, a division of Clearpoint Health Network is recruiting for a
permanent full-time Surgical Case Cart Picker to start immediately at our Dixon Road location.


Job Profile


Under general supervision of the OR Nurse Manager, responsible for assembling surgical case carts with proper surgical instrumentation and other necessary surgical supply items.

Serves as a liaison between OR Sterile Supply, Sterile Processing Department and Operating Room staff to assure smooth, uninterrupted daily materials support.

Coordinates, pulls from inventories, and prepares necessary supplies and instruments for emergent and routine surgical cases.

Ensures proper supplies for each case are delivered as needed and works closely with OR Clinical Staff and Sterile Processing Department to promote a team effort in meeting surgical case needs.

Inspects all packaging and wrapped or rigid containers for integrity of sterile inventory & instrumentation. Collaborates with OR Clinical Staff on stock rotation in order to prevent inventory expiration. Supports Purchasing and Procurement team with advance notice of low stock items and empty bins to ensure adequate supplies. Identifies and anticipates potential problems by taking action to prevent or minimize the effect of the issue. Facilitates continuous communications and performance improvement as it relates to all surgical instruments, implants, supplies, and equipment. Performs other related functions as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of related supply/materials management experience in a healthcare surgical environment
  • Demonstrated experience with the receipt of deliverables
  • Proven ability to sort and store supplies in a neat, clean, and wellorganized manner
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Highly detail oriented, with an ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical terminology training and/or certificate
  • Familiarity with hospital supplies and surgical instruments for the purposes of material management
