Health Care Aide - Winnipeg, Canada - St. Boniface Hospital
Description
Under the supervision of the Program Manager and a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), the HEALTH CARE AIDE (HCA) plays a key role in assisting with patient care at St. Boniface General Hospital. The HCA provides basic supportive care as assigned, while always upholding the hospital's values and mission.
Experience:
- Health Care Aides (NA II's) who started in 2002 meet the educational requirements.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide certificate program.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Organizational and prioritization skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team player mentality and willingness to seek help when needed.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Good physical condition, capable of lifting and moving heavy patients.
- Comfortable working in potentially stressful environments with challenging individuals.
