Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Program Manager and a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), the HEALTH CARE AIDE (HCA) plays a key role in assisting with patient care at St. Boniface General Hospital. The HCA provides basic supportive care as assigned, while always upholding the hospital's values and mission.

Experience:

Health Care Aides (NA II's) who started in 2002 meet the educational requirements.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):

Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide certificate program.

Qualifications and Skills:

Organizational and prioritization skills.
Effective communication abilities.
Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Team player mentality and willingness to seek help when needed.
Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Strong interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

Good physical condition, capable of lifting and moving heavy patients.
Comfortable working in potentially stressful environments with challenging individuals.
