    The Opportunity

    The City of St. John's, Department of Community Services, requires one instructor for Adult Photography programs.

    Accountabilities


    •To plan, develop and introduce photography skills at various levels to adults in a group setting.

    •Consult, assist and make recommendations for the program in conjunction with the Community Programs and Services- Adult & Seniors Coordinator

    •Perform in a direct leadership capacity in delivery of weekly programs

    •Request and maintain the necessary supplies required for the program

    •Compile and monitor attendance

    Qualifications


    •Recognized training/experience in photography instruction

    •Experience in teaching photography programs in a group setting

    •Excellent communication skills

    •Experience working with adult population

    •Formal education with diploma/certificate/degree would be an asset

    Additional Requirements:

    •Successful applicant will be required to obtain a current Criminal Record Screening Certificate & Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within the last six months of the start date).

    •Successful applicant would be expected to have the specific content developed prior to start of employment.

    Hours of Work

    Program Schedule: Wednesday's from 1:30-3:30pm weekly.

    Period of Employment:
    September June 2024
