- You will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.
- As our new CAD Technician, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.
- We'll look to you to take on responsibility for the preparation of drawings such as site plans, geological cross sections, and soil and groundwater analytical figures using CAD and specialized software. You will also process survey data and work on various databases searches for pertinent information as it relates to a variety of environmental projects. You will be expected to exercise a good deal of independent judgment and initiative, in a fastpaced environment that requires a high level of attention to detail.
- To succeed in this role, you'll need to be proficient with graphic packages and drafting tools, possess strong communication skills, and excellent time management and organization skills. Qualifications
- Significant experience with AutoCAD
- Highly proficient with computers and a strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word)
- Knowledge of Canada's NTS and legal land descriptions is a strong asset
- Prior work experience within an environmental or engineering consulting firm is an asset
- Diploma or certificate in CAD/Drafting or technology program with CAD/drafting requirements e.i. Geomatics, Civil, Environmental or Water Resources
- Must be detailoriented and possess strong interpersonal, time management, and organization skill working on several different projects concurrently is the norm
- Ability to work autonomously and closely with a team of professionals is essentialCountry
