Job Description:


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the
    Operations and Maintenance for Facilities and Operations for new assets.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement of
    Facility and Bus Operations as well as Subway Operations
:


  • Provide guidance into Bus, Facility and Subway Operations based on client needs, and the operating environment.
  • Advise on the Asset Management Strategy relative to subways and facilities.
  • Provide guidance into maintenance for Facility and Subway Assets.
  • Responsible and accountable to develop needs based on client and stakeholder requests.
  • Develop Concept of Operations, Concept of Maintenance based on stakeholder needs and the baseline design for the new stations, tunnel.
  • Interface with the contractor to ensure compliance with Operational and Maintenance strategies.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with the Client to report progress, anticipate needs, resolve delays and issues.
  • Assesses preparedness to handle major incidents and emergencies.
  • To conduct regular reviews of submittals, to ensure compliance against the design and the stakeholder needs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Operations and Maintenance department.
  • Define the necessary maintenance and operational procedures to be modified based on the contractor design.

Operational Delivery and Customer Service:

  • Be aware and adhere to all Gannett Fleming Rail O&M BU and Corporate policy and procedures; and

Quality and Performance:

  • Be aware and adhere to requirements affecting your role in relation to customer satisfaction and service delivery
  • Ensure that quality is embedded into the delivery of all work in line with established policies, systems, plans, procedures, and work instructions by following the training you have been provided with
  • Be aware of and adhere to the Quality Policy and all related procedures and instructions relating to your department.
Financial and Commercial

  • Manage budgeting process and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate accounts of all working hours are recorded and verified.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Knowledge:

  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of operations, maintenance, safety and environmental related to subway operations.
  • Deep understanding of the metro business environment.

Skills:


  • A respected leader and creative thinker, able to work closely and in partnership with both O&M and customer senior management to help ensure the future development and mutual success of both organizations.
  • Excellent people leadership skills. Must be skilled in communicating, cross cultural management, organizational culture development and motivating staff.
  • Excellent analytical reasoning ability and capable of making decisions on complex matters.
  • Ability to see problems as opportunities and to manage well under pressure.

Experience:

-
Minimum of 15 years' experience within public transport with at least 10 years' experience in mass transit/rail operation and maintenance
:


  • Familiarity with regulations and standards.
  • Experience in facilities Operations and Maintenance, and Subway Operations and Maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading, managing and developing multicultural teams to implement large scale projects.
  • Experience of managing complex, safety orientated business organizations.
  • Comprehensive appreciation of health and safety legislation and contract requirements relating to railway operations.
  • Proven ability to set, monitor and achieve business objectives.

Education:


  • A Bachelor's degree or extensive proven experience in a relevant engineering, transport planning, business administration or related discipline as deemed appropriate
