SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for overall oversight of Aviation accounting team.
  • Prepare, report, and submit financial statements for Aviation business line, ensure monthly financial reports are delivered accurately and timely.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to the Aviation business team.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decisionmaking.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and performance standards.
  • Key member/coordinator of financial and operational systems integration project.
  • Work with Aviation business team to establish the budget for the Aviation business unit on annual basis.
  • Handle daytoday accounting, including maintaining the general ledger, creating, coding, and posting Managed Clients and Charter sales billing and assist with final revisions, and prepare monthly/quarterly/year end accruals.
  • Provide guidance to the billing team in support of timely customer invoice processing, payment processing, receipts, adjustments, disputes and collections.
  • Handle inquiries from external and internal clients.
  • Provides customer support to customers with disputes or inquiries concerning invoices or billing process.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • Post-Secondary Education in Business or Accounting/ Finance is required.
  • Accounting Designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in a computerized accounting environment.
  • A thorough knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
  • High degree of proficiency with MS Office programs, specifically with Excel.
  • Financial systems knowledge and ability to quickly learn new accounting systems.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fastpaced environment, meet strict deadlines and multitask.
  • Highly organized with the ability to effectively manage priorities.
  • Strong sense of urgency and demonstrated customer service focus.
  • Experience and confidence in managing team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite is considered an asset.
