About the Company

PPS is a leading provider of paint stripping and metal cleaning services, having serviced the automotive and aerospace industries of southern Ontario for 30 years.

PPS operates paint stripping facilities in Ontario and the United States.

You will be working as part of a team, in a 24-hour operation. Your work ethic will be the primary value that will dictate your success at PPS. Packing and loading automotive parts and tooling, along with pressure washing, will be the main duties in this position.

Performs all dayshift shipping and receiving functions (customer parts & vendor supplies). Enter new orders and make packing slips for completed orders. Performs all quality inspections. Receives order status calls, advising customers when their order will be ready. Has responsibility for maintaining inventory levels, and organization of all supplies.

Detail

Physically receive customer product, normally requiring a forklift. Enter a work order in JD Edwards, place order on customer product for identification purposes.
Inspect and report any damage found on customer or supplier goods, before and after processing.
Perform quality inspection on finished product located in the shipping area, and signoff on QI form. Report findings to the plant manager
Prepare packing slip in JD Edwards after quality inspection is complete. Ship customer product. Obtain driver signature and retain the signed copy.
Ship and receive supplier product, and perform receiving function in JD Edwards
Keep the shipping/receiving area organized in a manner that facilitates access and identification
Monitor and report to customers on order status
Assist in coordinating transportation of customer orders as required by the plant manager
Take physical inventory of plant supplies, including chemicals, and reports to the plant manager for requisition
Monitor refuse dumpster and empty tote/drum quantities and report to the Plant Manager
Ensure SDS' compliance
Other duties as assigned
