Position Summary:

Reporting to the AD Energy & Fleet.

This position ensures the reliability of emergency generators, tanks and fuel system assets to provide continuity of operations and maintenance.

This position also leads all aspects of the vendor contracts, the annual and 5 year Fleet CAPEX plans, and ensures the Fleet Asset Management Plan is kept current.

Collaborates with the Manager Fleet Services to ensure the continual development of cost-effective asset management and maintenance strategies, evaluation and implementation of new technologies that will improve safety and performance of equipment and staff.

Duties include asset management, life cycle analysis, equipment specifications, equipment reliability, optimize fleet utilization, preventative maintenance and repair emergency power generator, fuel and tank systems.

Oversees resources and communications to meet customer needs and assure smooth and efficient activities.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Lead a wellmanaged contribution unit within budget and aligned to the Strategic Plan
  • Promotes employee participation, accountability and job satisfaction
  • Champions a culture of customer centricity and collaboration
  • Develop and lead the implementation of a plan to ensure optimum lifecycle management, maintenance, and effective technical performance of all GTAA light fleet, generators, tanks and fuel systems.
  • Optimise fleet pool to support users business requirements
  • Planning, organizing, and collaborating with Manager, Fleet Services to meet objectives with the most efficient use of personnel, facilities and equipment.
  • Continuous fleet and equipment rightsizing evaluation
  • Continuous updates of the Fleet Asset Management Plan and its contribution to the Corporate Asset Management Plan
  • Continuous evaluation of technologies to green the fleet, maximise utilization and improve maintenance costs
  • Develop an optimised maintenance program within RMAX to support a safe, compliant, and wellmaintained fleet and equipment while continuously improving equipment efficiencies through various means
  • Lead all aspects of the bulk fuel and waste oil storage tank preventative maintenance program to ensure compliance to federal environmental and fire code regulations.
  • Develop annual Fleet life cycle capital plans based on user requirements and through analytical evaluations of existing fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Develop, evaluate and lead contracts and vendors
  • Lead people by providing coaching, guidance and development by providing feedback for personal and career growth
  • Responsible for being a customer centric Leader with respect to the Mission, Vision, Values and Beliefs

Qualifications:


  • Post Secondary Degree/Diploma and NAFA certification and/or 5 of years of combined equivalent work experience and education
  • 5 years of experience in equipment, life cycle analysis, heavy and light fleet specifications, leading vendors, spreadsheets, standby emergency generators and fuel systems
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in People Management (direct report or crossfunctional)
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer centric environment
  • Must have a valid "G" Ontario Drivers License
  • Able to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance
