    Éducation

    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

    Tâches

    • Bather, diaper and feed babies and young children
    • Develop and carry out child-care programs that encourage the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
    • Help early childhood educators implement programs that foster children's development
    • Lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and taking children to local attractions
    • Order supplies and equipment
    • Assist in record-keeping
    • Engage children through storytelling, singing, and crafting
    • Guide children in developing proper habits
    • Prepare snacks and set up rooms for meals and rest
    • Monitor children for potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports
    • Provide written observations on children to educators or supervisors
    • Discuss children's progress and challenges in team meetings
    • Knowledge of licensing rules
    • Set behavioral guidelines
    • Participate in staff meetings to review children's progress and challenges
    • Establish and maintain relationships with co-workers and service providers working with children
    • Create a safe environment for children's well-being
