What You Will Do:


  • Facilitate Kaizen Events, Gather Information & Create Documents.
  • Facilitate Internal Lean Training.
  • Assist in CI implementation.
  • Coordinate Lean implementation activities including Kanban development, value stream mapping, takt time analysis, 5S+1 visual workplace.
  • Participate in manufacturing plant audits.
  • Conduct new hire lean orientations.
  • Update shop floor information as needed.
  • Attend supervisor weekly update meetings.
  • Maintain the OEE Cimco system.
  • Teaching and leading cross functional teams on Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Other administrative tasks associated with Lean Improvements / Corrective Actions.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating visual management system.

Position Details:


  • Fulltime
  • 40hour work week

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in process, manufacturing or industrial engineering, or engineering technologist with relevant experience.
  • Four years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Good math and analytical skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, waste removal and cost reduction.
  • Ability to travel between facility locations when required.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is an asset.

Salary:
$60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
